A Day in the Life of Client Services

At Christopher Street Financial, we like to think of Client Services as the quiet heroes of your financial journey. We are not the ones preparing your financial plan, but we are the ones who make sure your accounts get opened, your money moves, and your paperwork doesn’t mysteriously vanish into a bureaucratic black hole.

Our team includes me, Rick de Beauclair (Director of Client Services), and two rockstars who keep the wheels turning: Jennifer Date and Concetta Botie, our talented Client Service Specialists. If you’ve ever needed to roll over a 401(k), update a beneficiary, or get money just in time to close on a new home, you have been in our inbox.

So, what exactly does a day in Client Services look like?

Glad you asked! It starts with coffee (non-negotiable) and a fresh batch of service requests from Advisors. Every day, and throughout the day, our Advisors submit these requests, and we spring into action.

At any moment we may be helping you by:

  • Opening a new account at one of our custodians (SEI or Fidelity)
  • Helping you register for access to your client portal at SEI Connect (pro tip: bookmark it!)
  • Processing a retirement plan rollover, moving your asset from a previous custodian
  • Updating the beneficiary designation on your IRA
  • Wiring funds to your attorney as you close on your new home, without drama or delay

It is like being a financial EMT – always on call, staying cool under pressure, and never knowing what will come next.
